Our Story
Founded on the belief that cultural heritage must be actively preserved, documented, and transmitted across generations, HPAF was
established in response to a growing cultural need: the preservation and transmission of Hellenic folk traditions at a moment when
many practices, regional customs, and oral histories face increasing risk of disappearance.
Recognizing that preservation requires more than performance alone, HPAF was founded to unite scholarship, cultural practice,
education, and public engagement within a broader framework of cultural stewardship and safeguarding.
Today, HPAF works to build the knowledge, partnerships, and institutional frameworks necessary to ensure that Hellenic traditions
continue to thrive as living heritage for future generations.
